What is it?
Cover Pages present information in a single bold page. You can add a Cover Page to an existing website to make a powerful introduction. You can also use a Cover Page to build a standalone landing page.
Sometimes big ideas
don’t require full sites. That’s what makes Cover Pages a
great way to announce upcoming releases, identify your brand, or collect email
addresses or RSVPs. You can even use a Cover Page as an “under construction” page as you
build the rest of a site.
No Blocks
Independent Site
Cover Pages behave a little differently
than the rest of Squarespace. Unlike other content areas, Cover
Pages aren’t built using blocks. You’ll start with a pre-styled
layout and editing tools in a panel for adding imagery, text, buttons, forms,
audio, maps, video, and more.
Cover Pagelayouts are more fixed than other
content areas. Design elements like buttons or text can’t be moved around a Cover
Page. This helps keep your Cover Pages
beautiful and responsive.
Cover Pages are also styled independently
of a site’stemplate. Whether
you’re adding a Cover Page to an existing site or using it as
your only page, start with
any Squarespace template, select a Cover
Page layout, and use
the Cover Page-specific style editor to customize it.
